Adult women with a history of childhood sexual abuse may continue to struggle with their own trauma and could benefit from counseling long after the abuse has stopped. I offer Support and Therapy Groups for Women with a history of childhood sexual abuse. #DIVORCE RECOVERY FOR CHILDREN, ADULTS AND PARENTS. Divorce is difficult for everyone involved, whether you are the person who sought the divorce or fought against the divorce. Divorce is especially difficult for children and teens as divorce changes the the only life they have ever known. Co-parenting after Divorce - can be difficult as hurt emotions often get in the way. As a neutral objective therapist, I can help you move past this and learn to co-parent more effectively #ANXIETY IN CHILDREN, TEENS AND ADULTS - including School Anxiety in Children and Social Anxiety in Teens. Women and men can both experience anxiety in their work, relationships and families. #GRIEF IN CHILDREN, ,TEENS AND ADULTS - As a child, it is difficult to lose a parent or beloved grandparent. The struggle seems to be more challenging when others in the family are dealing with the same loss. #PARENTING CHALLENGES - Counseling often involves working with parents to develop a plan for correcting/teaching the child that is both effective and individualized for the child and parent, AND a plan that both parents can agree on and implement with confidence. . #ADOPTION CHALLENGES - Parenting adopted children can be challenging in many ways. Sometimes what happens after the "honeymoon period" gets rough for both parents and child. Counseling for the child, as well as counseling for the parent can help get things back on track. Sometimes adopted children need different parenting than other child, especially if the adopted child has any past history of trauma. #RELATIONSHIP STRUGGLES - Determining if one is in a toxic relationship, and if so exploring why that person stays in the relationship in order to make corrections. If the relationship is not toxic or they just plan to stay, communication is the number one area for improvement. Depression in Children, Teens and Adults- including Bipolar Depression and Postpartum Depression in women. Many things in today's society encourage depression in children, teens and adults. There are things that we can change, and things that we cannot change. But we can learn to think differently about both - which helps reduce depression.
